SNAPSO is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by a group of parents of developmentally disabled adult children who had finished school and were left with nowhere to go.  These parents quickly realized that meaningful day programs for their adult children were few and far between. The founding families met on a regular basis to establish what they would like their special family member’s day supports to encompass and to chart a path to make their wishes come to fruition.

In 2009, SNAPSO opened a day support program that provides inclusive community recreational outreach programs and exciting in-house programs. Every individual chooses what they will do and where they will go. Entrenched in all activities are opportunities for advance social skills, communication skills and independence.
